The way that they used to make thousands of dustpans in the 50's, with nice motif for the lady, except that today's polyeurethane varnish would last a lot longer. The corners are corrugated, a faster way than welding.
These can be present at christmas with a red bow and placed in the kitchen cupboard, but not in under the xmas tree, unless otherwise suggested.
Long handled dustpans are a useful addition to the corner of your workshop. An iron one will last 50 years so may as well make some one afternoon!
